Great place to stay. The owner was extremely helpful and provided excellent service. Eli went above and beyond to help us when we ran into vehicle trouble. We have stayed here many times over the years on our trips north and back south. Highly recommended.
Place is dated but to be expected in the area. Regardless the rooms are EXTREMELY clean, smelled fresh I wouldn't hesitate to stay again if I need to sleep over night on the trans hwy again.
Coach House Motel is a gem. This place is so good. The owner? Even better. You might be tempted to call him “strict,” but really, he’s responsible—and for good reason. He takes genuine pride in maintaining the history, integrity, and peace of this place. It’s clean, respectful, and clearly well cared for. The room was very comfortable. Everything was immaculate and in perfect condition. The water pressure in the shower was more than adequate. Wifi a little bit slow, but usable, and probably the fastest that is available in the area. It's also free. To anyone reading this: If you’re rowdy or planning to party or room share, don’t come here. That part is non-negotiable. This place deserves care and respect, and the expectations are more than fair for what it is. You’ll have a great stay if you treat it right. I’d absolutely come back.
What a wonderful place!!! My husband and I just returned state side to Minnesota after a marvelous trip along Lake Superior in Ontario and we loved this peaceful gem! The motel was spotless, peaceful and charming. We had the best sleep here on our whole trip. Thank you Eli and Thue, we hope to see you on our next journey up to Terrace Bay! Stephanie and Cesar
Don't let the dated look of this place fool you! I've stayed in A LOT of hotels across Canada and I can honestly say I wouldn't think twice about eating off the floor here. The rooms are well-maintained and absolutely SPOTLESS! An added bonus is the beautiful property. We've stayed here twice and will absolutely be back next time.
Great place to stop on your way through Ontario! Although the rooms are dated, they are very clean, and lightly renovated. Bathrooms are nice. The only complaint would be the beds - quite uncomfortable and very hard. The host was extremely helpful, and stayed up late for us to check in. We felt very safe and comfortable here. I would recommend this to anyone travelling through!
Place is very clean and cozy. Check in was very quick and friendly. The place is right beside the highway but still quiet from inside the room.
The owners of the motel were fantastic and very welcoming!! The rooms were great, with a beautiful view overlooking Jack Fish lake. Highly recommend
